Genuflecting & the Blessed Sacrament Chapel

You may have noticed that during the procession to the sanctuary at the start of Mass, the altar servers, ministers and priests are now bowing first to the altar and then turning and genuflecting in the direction of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. We have also begun the practice of keeping the double doors open between the main body of the Church and the Blessed Sacrament Chapel to make clearer the presence of the Blessed Sacrament when we come to church and celebrate the Mass. We have also stationed 3 vigil lamps along the perimeter of the chapel indicating in a way, that it constitutes the tabernacle itself. In invite you also show reverence for the presence of the Blessed Sacrament by bowing first to the altar and then genuflecting in the direction of the Blessed Sacrament chapel when you enter the church.
